Sarufa said most of Lee’s international fights ‘ from his opponents from countries such as Guam, Canada and Europe did not eventuate after a training video of Lee “Flash” Garap was leaked on social media (Facebook).

The Video which showed Lee “Flash” Garap being kicked around  by his team mates for three minutes nonstop had spread fear among his potential international opponents.

Nonetheless Sarufa said if Garap wins all his three upcoming world title fights, Garap would not only be setting a bench mark in PNG but also in the world of Muay Thai Kickboxing.

In addition, Sarufa said the support of the community, business houses and sponsors to partner in bringing recognisition to the sporting code is needed to promote the sport.

“Lee has a talent that an only elite fighter possesses and it would be a very good market for business houses to come in and support the upcoming events. It may be an unpopular sport in the country but we can promise you it is one you don’t want to miss,” Said Sarufa.
