Kemele construction Managing Director Ferman Joseph said his team is excited that National Airports Corporation has decided to partner with local companies towards the development of the country.
"NAC and
corporate companies are realising that PNG Companies can do the work which was
done by foreigners before. This is a very good turn the government has taken
because by doing that they show that they have confidence in PNG Businesses.
"This also
helps us give jobs back to ordinary Papua New Guineans. This is also promoting
SME’s in the country and the money given stays back in the country instead of
going out when we hire foreigners.
“We are very
happy that NAC has trusted us with this contract and we will finish on time as
expected.” He Said.
Kemele is a
Southern Highlands company which was established in 2006 and has been engaged
in many other projects in the country since 2010.
